These prints were made during a workshop at Alfred University School of Art and Design, Alfred, NY. There was full access to the large format printers that accepted a wide range of paper types and sizes. Artists mounted heavy rag litho paper on the drum printers and personally supervised the production with complete control of the printing process. This allowed for more experimentation and refinement of details than would have been possible if using a service bureau. The approach was similar to traditional printmaking.
